Tom Valdez is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer residing in Los Angeles, California.

He currently serves as Composer for Dream Cinema Productions’ feature film and video game, Night Mistress.  Notable past work includes scoring the Emmy-nominated Made in Hollywood now in its 14th season; the theme song to the NAACP Image Award-winning television series Live Life and Win! and the movie trailer for Conviction starring Oscar winners Hilary Swank and Juliette Lewis.  

In addition to television and feature film work, Valdez co-composed the rock musical Emerald Man. It debuted at the New York Musical Festival and was selected for the ASCAP/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop. He recently contributed original compositions to the hit New York musical Waiting for Johnny Depp. 

Valdez is a seasoned musician having played in numerous bands of varying styles, including one led by American Idol judge, Randy Jackson.  His former rock act, Man Made Souls, featured all original compositions performed on MTV Music Television; and live for thousands of fans through concerts and North American rock festivals. 

 As a natural companion to his music composition adventures, Valdez has had a love affair with sound design and synthesizer programing ever since his college job as the electronics technician in the music department's synthesizer/composition lab.

Janet Cole Valdez is a gold record, former Motown songwriter.   Movie credits include Gladiator, The Last Dragon, The Boost, South Beach Academy, Guarded Secrets, Chateaux Meroux and Boston Girls.  TV credits include themes for 2 weekly TV series’: Emmy-nominated Made In Hollywood, Teen Edition, and Live Life & Win!, and also The Young and the Restless, Fame, CBS Late Night, Chicago Story, Michael Jordan: An American Hero, TV movies What About Your Friends and Christmas at Waters Edge.

Janet’s musical Cole and Porter was optioned by Jersey Boys’ co-producer John Osher. Janet was subsequently commissioned by the Tony-award winning producer of The Lion King, to create music for a new musical in development. Her rock musical Emerald Man, debuted Off-Broadway in the New York Musical Festival to rave reviews, and was chosen for the ASCAP/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop. Her latest musical “Waiting for Johnny Depp” has had four successful productions, the most recent in NYC in 2019.
